DS Heaters High Density Cartridge Heaters are precision-engineered component heaters designed to deliver efficient and reliable heating across a wide range of industrial applications. Commonly used in molds, dies, and sealing bars, these cartridge heating elements fit snugly into cavities, enabling rapid and consistent heating of solid materials by reaching high temperatures with excellent thermal transfer. DS Heaters’ High Density Cartridge Heaters are engineered with versatility in mind. They can be custom-manufactured with various diameters and cold sections to fit virtually any cavity, and can also incorporate an internal thermocouple for accurate temperature monitoring and control. Lead wires are conveniently extended from the end of the heater to interface seamlessly with your control systems.
What sets DS Heaters' cartridge heaters apart is their high compression construction, which ensures maximum heat emission efficiency. Each heater is manufactured with a precision-ground surface to achieve an H7 fit, ensuring optimal contact and thermal conductivity between the heater and its housing.

Construction
DS Heaters’ High Density Cartridge Heaters are engineered with precision and durability to ensure optimal performance in demanding industrial environments. At the core of each heater lies a nickel-chrome resistance wire, meticulously wound around a high-purity magnesium oxide (MgO) core. This core is then inserted into a Stainless Steel or Incoloy sheath, with the resistance wire positioned close to the inner wall to enhance heat transfer. The magnesium oxide core is centrally aligned within the sheath and the surrounding space is densely packed with high-grade MgO powder, offering excellent thermal conductivity and electrical insulation. Nickel terminal pins run through the center of the core, securely contacting the resistance wire at both ends to ensure efficient electrical performance.
